Situated directly opposite the historic Lindores Abbey — widely regarded as the spiritual home of Scotch whisky — the distillery offers visitors a unique blend of heritage, craftsmanship, and modern production.

Since beginning distillation in 2017, Lindores Abbey has welcomed visitors from across the UK and beyond, offering tours, tastings, and the opportunity to explore the historic grounds where whisky’s story began.

As visitor numbers grow and travel habits evolve, Lindores Abbey partnered with Connekt to introduce EV charging, supporting sustainable tourism while enhancing the overall visitor experience.

The Solution

Connekt delivered a tailored EV charging solution designed to complement Lindores Abbey’s visitor experience and site requirements.

The installation includes:

1 × Evec 40kW DC rapid chargers
2 charging connectors
Fast, efficient charging suitable for visitors during tours and tastings

Crucially, the project was delivered through the Energy Saving Trust fund, with Connekt managing the entire process, from application and approval through to installation and commissioning.

By securing funding and overseeing delivery, Connekt ensured a seamless, cost-effective solution for the distillery.
