How we work

From the first conversation to switch-on in four steps, with funding options that can mean no upfront cost.

  1. 1.Discovery & site survey

We meet you and survey the site: where chargers should go, the power available, how guests and staff use it, and what you want to achieve.

  2. 2.Proposal & funding

A clear plan of chargers, locations and costs, with the funding options and any grants that suit your site.

  3. 3.Installation

Our specialist installers handle the groundworks, electrics and signage, planned around your guests and busy periods.

  4. 4.Get Connekted

We set your tariffs in Connekt Cloud, list your chargers on the driver apps and look after your drivers 24/7, so your site earns from day one.

Questions hotels ask us

How much does EV charging cost a hotel?

It depends on the number and speed of chargers and the power available on site, which is why we start with a free survey. We’ll then talk you through the funding options for your site, and many sites pay little or nothing up front. Book a free consultation and we’ll show you the options.

Who looks after the chargers and the drivers?

We do. Every charger is monitored 24/7, up to 96.5% of faults are fixed remotely, and our network runs at 99.13% uptime. Drivers call our UK support team around the clock, so your staff never have to troubleshoot a charger.

Will guests be able to find our chargers?

Yes. Connekt chargers appear on Zapmap, Google Maps, Electroverse, Allstar, Paua, Radius, Plugsurfing, ONEEV and in-car navigation, so drivers can find and plan around your site before they book.

Can we set our own prices?

Yes. Through Connekt Cloud you set your own tariffs, for example free or discounted for residents and a public rate for visitors, and you can change them at any time.

Are there grants for hotel EV charging?

Accommodation providers can apply for the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme, and Scottish rural and island businesses may qualify for the Rural & Island Infrastructure Grant. We check what you qualify for and handle the paperwork.

Will installation disrupt our guests?

We plan the work around your guests and your busy periods, and agree it with you before anything starts. You can see how it went at sites like Cameron House in our case studies.
